We recommend that you take enough food out of the freezer for the following day's use and allow it to thaw about 24-hours in the refrigerator. If it's not completely thawed let it stand at room temperature for an hour or two. Place the appropriate amount of food into a shallow dish or bowl. We recommend a glass or ceramic bowl instead of plastic. We generally add a little bit of warm water and mix it in with the food. This warms it up a little bit and provides extra moisture for the pet. This is particularly recommended for cats since, in the wild, felines get almost 100% of their moisture from their food and rarely drink straight water. In fact, you will probably notice that your cats will drink little or no water from a bowl once they begin eating the raw diet. If they don't eat all of the food after 2 or 3 hours you can take it up and put it in the refrigerator for feeding again later. Basically, store and handle the product just like you would any raw meat that you might prepare in your kitchen. On other note, please do not use the microwave to thaw or warm the food. We believe that this damages or destroys the natural nutrients and proteins that make the product so nutritional.
